Here's a link to some. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/S...king_76187.htm

There is a guy at all the local car shows around here that builds them and has them on display. He even sells them. They ARE NOT cheap. I've seen some of them as high as $7,000.

Making any engine will require not only incredible skill for building your prototype, but also many sophisticated tools and tons of metal annealing and hardening understanding.

Remember that all the effects on an engine are not linear, so doing a perfect scale copy of an engine will not yield good results.

You are better off doing a full size engine in which you should use some standard parts where expensive machinery is needed....ie. Camshaft and Crankshaft

I have so much time on my hands. Here in korea i can either get druck after work or design things and then try make them at work. so i have no problems with time. i decided i want to make a scaled and runable 22r. i programed the block. and started cutting on a 20x20x15 in piece of 6061 t6 we had laying around. i will try to get photos up next week. i have no idea what i am going to do for rings. my supervisor says he has cut a cam before so he will help with that. after block ill do crank then rods the pistons. any input will be nice because i am shotting in the dark.

Hmm..Rings..

Why dont you figure out the size of those rings (in scale) and use something already on the market....like a 9hp subaru motor (those on throphy karts)...you get the idea....

seriously, gpouls is right, use something readily available like a small gas engine(briggs & stratton) or motorcycle piston & rings.
it will save you lots of time & dissapointment.
go make a friend at a lawnmower or motorcycle repair shop & look through their stuff.
