1/2 scale 32 ford hi boy

this is actually an old project i built fro a guy from down south. it is a half scale 32 hi boy with a 600cc snowmobile motor. Thought i'd post up some pics just for fun.

I built a custom windshiled, grille, and gas tank. I also completly rebuilt the suspension to handle hte power of the new motor. All the suspension links were made from stainless, tapped drilled and polished with hiem joints. The gas tank has a motorcycle style pop out filler neck. The grille is all 1/4" round bar. You might also notice the trick billet rear view mirror. The bottom picture is what it looked like when it came to me. 2 months later it looked like the top picture. It still needs some body work (you can see the door) but it's coming along from what i hear!

Here are all the parts i made that got chromoed...i hate chrome!!!

Nice work! What was he doing with it, Parades, or a kids car? Nice lines and very close to the real deal. I think those kinds of projects are more fun than the big real ones. LOL Thanks for th pics.

would have been WAAAYYYYYY more fun if the chrome didn't take 14 weeks to get back!!!!! I called the dude every freaking day. Never gave me a price or anything. Then one day he calls me up all happy and excited and says it's done like he's doing mea favor then tells me it will be twice what the budget i gave him was!!! n e who, i told him he could kiss my A$$ and i gave him half of what he asked for and walked off with the parts and he never said a word!

Nice job on all those parts; they came out looking nice and clean!

Who did you use for your chrome? I called a place about chroming my '69 GMC truck grille awhile back. They told me it was too hard to do because the slats in the grille. I asked him if he'd ever seen a '69 GMC, there's like 1 "slat" across the middle and it's 5" wide! He still wouldn't do it. I think he just didn't want to buff the whole thing or something, i don't know...
