HREW must have been the seemed tube in some of the pics? I am glad to see that because on my sand rail i am using some 1.5" .120 wall HREW and was concerned about strength, but if it is strong enough for a rock crawler it should be good enough for a hack sandrail.

I don't have the cash to build a real buggy but if you don't mind I'm going to replicate your build 1:10 scale for an RC rock racer.
I already made a 1:10 scale Rancho rock crawler.
The Hotness Build thread on RCC http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97416

I have started my project.

Your build has caught my eye. I was looking for my next project truck.

things are looking good, been a busy couple weeks. unfortunately, its all the little things that eat up all the time, that takeing pics of is just pointless.

its a mad dash to be done by may. still dunno if its gonna happen or not. gotta lot to do still.

master kill switch, radiator hose and filler, and jeffs ratnest (which hes hacked down to about 1/2 of what it was to this point)

more ratnest and the catch can for all the vent tubes.

front seats and harness's

shifters and floors

remote filter lines , steering column, orbital

radiator overflow, tranny dipstick

How did you do that coloring though? I wanted to try something simila digitally to test of colors for mine but couldn't figure it out. You did exactly what I was trying to do though.

you have photoshop??

theres prolly an easier way to do it but im not very good with it.

make a new layer, in that layer use the polygonal lasso tool to select the area you want to change the color of. once you've selected something go to image, adjust, color balance. screw with the sliders to change to color, make notes of the numbers you slide to, so that you can get the same color on other layers you may have to make to get everything selected.

you can change brightness/contras etc in image/adjust.

its a pita but helps ALOT.
