i hear ya. thats the great things about those tires....CHEAP. question tho. given their intended use (real world) are you at all worried about having enough weight to make those massive/stiff sidewalls flex? thats my only concern, other than that, i bet they'll do pretty good. but how can u beat up a tire thats what, 200-225 a tire vs. 500 for 49" iroks...can't wait to see the finished pics.

lookin' great! I like the engine. That looks like the FI setup I have for my Windsor.
Ya know, I would consider trading the 49's for a set of 42's (IROKS) and Double Beadlocks...

sceep, what engine is that? What is the steering system? Regarding those 20 ply 200 pound tires, I suggest you get busy with a tire groover and cut them down to the cord in between the lugs, and cut concentric circles in the sidewalls to get them to flex more.

Not Sceep, but that appears to be a Ford 302 EFI as found in Mustangs and Trucks. Don't know my Fords though, so not sure exactly which one, but I think the tall intake is from the trucks? And the steering is a full hydraulic with "Charlyn" type valve. Not sure but guessing POS/Station was the source?

motor is a 302 out of an f150.
steering is full hydro via charlynn orbital, that came out of a toyota forklift.
as for tires and flexing. i pulled the valve stems on em a few nights ago to see what kind of flex they actually get. i was suprized. with 0psi the look to squat about how my MTRs did at around 8psi. I'm sure a few 0psi runs down the road to break the sidewall cords will do the trick nicely. The guy i got them from runs a set on his sammi. and has had some serious chinking issues with his grooved ones. his recomendation was to leave them as is, or just mildly sipe them. we'll see soon hopefully.
