Protools 105 help

Hey guys so Iv started my electric hydro set up itching to get it built to try it out but as when building stuff we come across problems.
Iv mocked up my bender frame on my frame which is only seemi made as I'm still figuring out where to mount stuff etc
Anyways this is the first time I've mocked it up and slipped a die in.
After putting the die in Iv got big gaps between the drive arms and main frame and the drive arms and the main die. Jumping online and looking at pics it looks like my rear spacer pins on both my main frame and drive arms are too long creating the gaps up the front does anyone know if the older or manual 105s had longer pins or am I missing parts between frame/drive arms and drive arms/die ??

Ps how the heck do I post a pic so I can show everyone??

I don't know about your bender, but my jd2 mod 32 does not have gaps like that. My follower die has a roll pin that I can push either up or down and use this to center the follower on the die.

Hope that helps

Copy the "IMG" picture you want. Click on the square box with a stylized sun over mountains. Paste into the pop-up.

Thanks, So I gather you still have to upload your pics to a web site like photo bucket? What's the most common site?

Whats everyone's spacer tube lengths at the back of the drive arms and main bender frame arms??

I think I'm also missing the washers between the drive arms and main frame?

Can anyone with a 105 tell me if the drive arms need to fully return "home" back into the inside of the main frame to be able to slide your tube in I'm still waiting for my dies 6 week wait is turning into 10-12 week die will mainly be 1 1/2x 4 1/2clr wanna know where to position my ram so I'm getting maximum degree out of the stroke

Ive only used JD2 benders, mine do not have to be fully closed to load the tube, but with the hydro they so sit all the way back. When tube is loaded and the slack removed, the ram extends about 1 - 1.5 inches. Ive read/heard that fully parallel arms create un-needed forces on the pins/bolts/frame also depending on the angle of the ram as mounted to the bender.

My arms sit against the frame arms (yours have gaps) i also made spacers to center the dies and followers in the arms.

Looking forward to your build

Cheers for the info I got in contact with pro tools last week and I'm missing the spacers between main frame and drive arms so I ordered a set and they should be here next week I can't position my ram until i have my die that 1 to 1.5 inches to take up the slack might mean the difference of bending a 90 or not. Not that it's a big deal to repin, I just re mounted my bender last night and put it to a 35deg angle to the ram to hopefully intitiate bend easier I'll get some pics up soon
Do you have any pics or videos of yours?
