fiberglass rod ends

I am trying to build my own fiberglass rod whips. I have searched and searched and I can not find the metal ends that go on fiberglass stock/rod. I am looking for different types of fiberglass rod ends. I can find fiberglass rods with ends already on them, and bare fiberglass rod stock...but I can not find just the ends alone. I am looking for ends that would slip over the fiberglass rod and be bonded with epoxy and have threads at the other end. Like you would find on a CB antenna. Anyone know what these are called or maybe where I can find them?

Hello Crash.
You will have the best luck (I hope) if you look for something called a "Ferrule".

Depending on exactly what you are looking for you could have the simple part you describe for made by someone with a lathe.

Good Luck and welcome to the OFN.
