Question bend tech sheet metal & plate module, how to switch over to metric?

Hi all,

I can't seem to get the sheet metal module to switch to mm (metric units of measurement).

can somebody please tell me how to change it over to mm from inches? or is this even possible?

thanks in advance.

shane

There are a couple of areas you may need to check out:
"Tools" menu at the top --> "Options" --> "General". You will find a "Unit of Measure" in the middle of screen. Hit "Save" after changing.

Not jump over to the "Plate/Sheet" tab (to the right of "General"). There are a bunch of things in here you may want to change. Again make sure to hit "Save" after changing.

NOTE: These changes will not affect files that have been opened or created. New files only.

Hi, Thanks Cris.

This was useful info, I had been changing these settings on each part page. And now this is more of an edit of the default page which is good.

I had assumed that my program wasn't switching over to metric because when I try to print full scale, all it seems to print are what looks like two registration marks and no part. That led me to believe that it must have been in inches and not millimetres and gone way off the scale and wouldn't go onto an A4 sheet of paper.

But with the instructions followed on how to switch to metric. It's still just printing the same thing.

The piece prints fine from fit to page or current view options but its just not to scale, as I'd like to be able to just print it off, tape it to some sheet and punch out my points direct off the printed piece and work from there .

I'll try to attach example pics to show what i'm talking about
