little touches

A fellow from another forum has a 1922 Dodge bucket car. His bell housing has an inspection cover in the top, which is exposed to the inside. He sent me the old cover and I built a new cover.

Awww! That's bad a$$ Bonehead! You have so much artistict abilities. Did you piece that together with Ball bearings and some bar stock and a Tig? I love to Tig intricate and/or small stuff. I'd like to give it a try myself sometime. I'm gonna keep my eye on the scrap barrel at work next week. That's really cool. Im interested in how you do that. Pics are great! Awesome job.

That is a cool little piece there! I know how you did it but that doesn't mean I could even make one like it let alone come up with an original design like that. Nice work!

Thanks guys. The car is in CA., the owner is in Russia. And I am in Colorado, the installed picture will take some time.

I am still amazed by the world we live in. I built the cover on Sunday, and emailed a picture to the owner in Russia. He emailed a friend of his in Austrialia who now wants some work done on his hotrod. An hour after I finished it, the picture had not only gone around the world, but an order for more had come back in.
Seems like only a few years back we would have to wait a week to have film developed.
