Jaysin's obituary can be found here. Couldn't read it with dry eyes.

Thank you, Clint for posting that link. I knew he was talented, but he was even more talented and diverse in his activities than I realized. It turned out he and I had a fourth thing in common; living in Benicia. We lived there for 12 years. Too bad I didn't know him at that time.

I just got back in town and found this bad news. First and foremost, Jaysin was a great friend here on theOFN. His passion for fabricating will be forever missed.

Jaysin deserves a tribute on our site. A couple of you have already sent over some ideas and keep them coming. We want to do this right and remember our friend as he loved life, his family, friends and fellow fabricators.

We will miss Jaysin and will forever be in our heats.

This sucks.

I don't really know what else to say.

I hope he was having the run of his life.

I just now read this in utter shock after having not been logged in for a little while. I did not know Jaysin personally but always looked forward to reading and seeing what he was doing. He was truly an artist and a craftsman. My condolences go out to his family and friends. He will definitely be missed by many including everyone here on OFN.

That's a real shame.

I didn't know him beyond a few posts on the forum, but he seemed to really dig life and certainly had some skills. The world desperately needs more guys who make things with gusto and passion, and we're all a little poorer now.

But, it sounds like he died in the way that he lived. I genuinely hope that I leave this planet in the same way.

Salut, bud.

Man...I don't come around here all that often but I always check up on this build first. To read that Jaysin has passed is beyond saddening. I consider his work truly inspiring and something I set as a standard for my own work. To see such a talent cut so short is a travesty. By now I trust the family and friends of this remarkable man have made their peace and I hope his work can continue to inspire those who consider metalwork to be a form of art.

Rest Peacefully Mr. Spaceman.

Terrible news . Even though I'm in Australia, I have spent a month snowboarding Kirkwood in my 20's. That mountain is truly special place. Even more so now.

RIP Jaysin

Today marks a year since Jaysin's untimely death. Thinking of him today and all the cool projects he shared with us. Rest in peace friend.
