My brother has one in a 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. According to him, the engine was rebuilt stock but not bored over and only has about 2000 miles on it since the rebuild. The transmission was rebuilt with shift kit installed and new case with about 5000 miles on it. Both have sat in the car since 1990. The car is in Utah. PM me if you are interested or would like to make an offer.

I have that exact setup, except it's attached to a B&M blower with dual Holley 850's.
fresh rebuild not been on dyno yet has been started, not broke in fully
trans has brand new TCI rebuild kit good up to 800 hp

$8k for both
I'd post pics, but something is screwy with my renewal
I emailed to get my account fixed, once they do I'll post pic's for the heck of it (I know it's not what your looking for)

Never saw this ad...

D,
I've got a 468, mild build, barry grant 880cfm, hooker supercomp, tci rattler, forget cam (but it's on the "reasonable" side), Mallory dist/and electrics, taylor wires (iirc), the trans is a tci t400 w/around 500mi on it.

Story:
Dad and I built it years ago for his 79 chev beater/sleeper truck body. I bought it and ditched the body last year, pulling motor/trans to save for future as yet to be decided project (wanted mid 60's wagon)
It runs out well, I'd guess around a solid 475-500hp or so. I've got several folks around here that have ridden in the truck prior to pulling that will vouch for quality/power etc

If you're interested in it let me know man and we can work it out. I'd like to get $3300 out of it, or $3k w/o the carb (did have a 700cfm edlebrock and ran well, but the big carb really woke it up)

Might trade/partial trade for tools, 4x4, D60 front for SAS, or ? (but right now thanks to the economy, I'd rather have the $)
It's in NLR, but I can possibly meet you half way or maybe even bring it to you if you aren't in a hurry (ie sometime in the next 3 weeks or so)

Thanks, but that would probably be a waste of a good engine.
I'm just lookin to build a stock BB for the dually as cheaply as possible.
I picked one up the other day that spun a few rod bearings & put a rod through the camshaft & waterjacket.
got a set of heads, badly scored crank, 6 rods & a Qjet & intake ot of it.
you need to put that in a buggy so we can go play in the rocks.
I'd love to have it but april's comin soon & I still need to swap in some axle shafts & funds are gettin low, got some 38's & beadlocks on the Rubi for Moab. check it out
