Kids safety gear, anyone found good places?

My little girl spends quite a good amount of time in the shop with her Dad. She is gathering quite a pile of her own tools, work pants, work hat, work gloves, her own air hose, and gun......my tools

Now she wants some ear muffs, Dads get out of control, and sometimes it grabs her head like a alligator, and wont ler her go.

Safty glasses, I might as well strap a sheet of plexy to her forhead, it just doesn't work.
She is getting more and more 'in there' now she is wanting to see whats going on with the grinder

I have searched a bit, but selection seems limited and very expensive. Anyone have any luck in this department?

For stuff like that you could even just try parusing the women's section, I'd imagine the safety glasses are smaller framed, though depending on how young she is, you might want her behind a full face shield anyway. As for ear muffs, what about in-ear ear plugs? A bit more universal in sizing, and they'll still protect her ears...

Paint ball gun mask. They sell those for kids and they work pretty well as a shield.

How old is she?

good point, I need to go in there today.

I've looked before, but haven't asked.....you know asking to find something in the hardware store is like asking for direstions.

I probably should have told you guys that she is 2.41 (moms go by months, so I switch it on them and make then think about decimals)

they key is, Dads got the ear muffs, so she want to wear them, and the same with my saftey glasses. We are buddies, you know buddies have the same stuff!!

i bought a "kids work pack" thing at harbor freight that had some good gloves and goggles in it. Had alot of smaller stuff that was neat, i think it was like 20$ or so.

We have a pretty good Harbor Freight here, I'll try to look and see if they have that kids pack.

FWIW, my soon-to-be-8 daughter is very fond of using her dad's Peltor H10A 'muffs.

They might be a bit too bulky, but the truth is that they fit her like a charm.

As for eyewear... I sell Crews-brand safety glasses and most of them are way way too big for a child's face.

My wife and I went to the drag strip alot with the kids last year. Any normal dragstrip I wouldn't have worried but this ones grand stands make a horse shoe around the starting line. So it echos pretty bad. While we were there we found the suvenier stand and they had ear muffs there that actually worked really well and fit good too. Ill try to find them and see if they have a name on them. My doughter is 1.5, my son is 6, and im 26 with a huge melon and these muffs fit all of us well.
