4.0 locked up!

My trusty 2000 TJ that I bought new in January of 2000 finally let go after 192,000 miles. So my question is If I buy a new or remanufactured engine who is the best place to buy from any suggestions? I might rebuild the engine I have but I want to check out all my options first.....

I use Jasper for all my rebuilt engines. Some guys don't like them because they had problems back when but the half dozen or so that I have sold in the past few years have been top notch. No problems with any of them and the gaskets that come with are always high quality, not cheapos. They also offer what they call an install kit, it comes with all the stuff you should install when you do an engine, all the tuneup parts, filters, belts and hoses, if I remember right I think they even come with a water pump. These are also quality parts and are about half the price of buying the same stuff at a parts store. Ive checked and they won't sell the install kit at the same price if you don't buy an engine from them, I wish they would, that would be a great setup at 100k mile tuneup time. And no i don't work for jasper, I'm just really happy with using them.

This is me and not trying to sway opions. If you don't know what you are doing to do it yourself then find a reputive shop and have them go threw it.My past experiances with remans. are the fallowing.
1.Bore sizes are differant from cyl. to cyl.! (oh yea ,awsome for balance on the rotating asymbly.)
2. rods and main journals are turned @ differant sizes.
3. Terrible head jobs(differant kinds of vavles and crapy surface jobs.)
4.el cheapo chineseo leaky gasket kits.

This is the part I think they bank on with the warrantys they give.
1.You will not own the vehicle long enough for it to fail.
2.You won't pay a shop, labor fee to have it changed again.(assuming you did for the warranty in the first place.)
Take the info I put above as you may. This is my opinion based on what I've seen in the past.I would rather put a junkyard motor in my vehicle and trust it before I bought a cheap reman..If you want to keep it and have it last then take it to a place you can trust.OR

ENGINE SWAP TIME! LS SERIES,HEMI,4BT,KB! LOL
