2003 Silverado Bumper Plan?

Anyone have a plan, or link to a plan for a decent looking fabricated front bumper for a 2003 Silverado? I had the pleasure of hitting a deer this weekend, and am going to have to replace the front bumper/grill/lights. I like the looks of the flat plate/armor style (?) bumpers, but am not wild about spending $1000-$1500 for one lol. Could probably come up with something from scratch if necessary...but don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone already has a base to work with.

Thanks for any help!

I don't know about a plan persay - you will probably have to take some measurements and do mockup on your truck - but there are a few examples out there to give you ideas.

Here are a couple of builds right here on OFN:

Thank you...I actually did a search on here before I asked...but thanks to PhotoBucket, the pics in the build threads are no longer available. If I could get some decent close up shots...I think I could come up with something I like lol.

Sorry that whole photobucket thing sucks, but there is a fix! Use Google Chrome get the Chrome extension "Photobucket Hotlink Fix." I am able to see the photos from those threads with that tool.

Thank you! I had no idea about the photobucket work around! That's awesome...and I can now see the photos in both of the links you posted! I appreciate the help. That will probably allow me to see some of the other threads on the web that I had found, but was unable to see the pics. Looks like it might be time to break out the cardboard and scissors, and just see what I can come up with. I actually like some of the Move brand kits...I'm just not wild about having the logo in my bumper lol. I wonder if I could order one without the logo...hmmm

I Really like the look of that Hanson bumper! I might have to try to do something along those lines. The adjuster is supposed to look at it tomorrow. I'll be glad when that's done...I'm ready to get the damaged bumper off the truck!

Yes, thank you though. I like the look of their stuff...but I'm not a fan of having their logo in my bumper lol. I suppose I could fill that in and be done with it. I actually removed the bumper and straightened it some this weekend...enough that it no longer rubs my tire slightly when I turn sharply. Grille, headlights, and mounting brackets are already on the way... I'll have to think on it a little more...but I'll decide on something shortly.

Thanks for all of the help guys!
