I installed the side widows, swapped the 6 lug lug front rotors for 5 lug versions, mounted and installed the front tires and broke one windshield. oops. The windshield cracked as I was putting the upper frame on. I'll order another and try again. It still has the stock dakota front brakes. I have not started on the adapter brackets for the cobra brakes and I wanted to put the 18's on the front.

Last friday Sept 1 I got insurance and a plate. That weekend I finished assembling and installing the windshield. Then took it up my road about a mile to the dead end and back to the house. looked everything over then went for a drive, about 5 miles. after getting out of my neighborhood, making a left onto a main road I hammered it. It down shifted into first and the rear started skating around slightly. It kept spinning through the shift into second and then i lifted. Sorry, no video. I could see a faint pair of 18" wide black tracks in the rear view mirror. It loud as hell at WOT.

What felt even better is when I got back to my house after the hurricane passed and I found my shop intact and the house has minor damage. As soon as the traffic light are working, I'm going drive it around here in naples.

well... apparently you are supposed to put gear oil in a Dana 60 before you drive your hot rod. ooops. i'll post pics when i can. highlights: diff locked up at about 45 mph. made 175' dual 18" wide skid marks. no skid marks in my shorts. everything looks ok with the exception of the front pinion bearing and preload shims. that happened at about 7:15 sunday night. I got up at 6 monday morning and had it all torn down by 7:15 am. replacement parts already ordered.

Been there done that, except it was a 14B and I was flat towing the rig.
