My car

OK so some have wanted a build thread here so I'll do an abreviated version of what is over at Pirate4x4.com. Wheel base is 104". Belly height is 19 inches with a UHMW skid plate at ride height. The rear has 10 inches of uptravel and 8 inches of down travel. The front has 8 inches of uptravel and 6 inches of down travel. It will have a passenger seat but it will be a mini version just to get someone to the trail. The engine for now is a 2.0 and I am currently swapping the trans. and tcase to a 700R4 and a 4 speed Atlas.
I start every car with a base, putting power and drivetrain where I want it including seat and gas tank. Experience also tells me a flat belly with nothing hanging below it is the best.

Front links in except the panhard.

Powertain and winch mounted.

Driver's seat mounted. It slides to accomodate different heights.

From there I sketched what I wanted it to look like

Started bending tube.

OK so obviously I'm using a tubing roller. My buddy Rusty has a roller at his work and I used it to get me started on the project. I just roll it till I like what I see and thus far I think it is working for this build.
So I started on the passenger side.

Top view

Got the driver's side done.

At this point I bought a homemade roller and continued on.
Finished out the top.

Moved onto the shocks. The coil carrier is a 10 inch stroke and the bypass is a 12".

Overall shot.

Got the radiator mounted and built a shrowd

Started the double sheer portion of the rear shock mounts.

That's it for now. I did get a bit done today and will post pics when I head back to the shop tomarrow.
