I just bought the Bend Tech EZ

so far I've built a front hybrid bumper, rear tube bumper and a 10 point family rollcage for my 81 GMC Jimmy.

I've been a fabricator for 17 years now, but this is my first foray into tube bending. I normally do structural work. The Bend Tech EZ was/is a great tool that helped me make the parts I wanted with very little waste.

I just bought the Bend Tech EZ program. Easy to use, and very accurate. I have built a few cages, bumpers, engine/tranny crossmembers and a 10 gallon (two fives) gas can carrier. Also used it to design a custom subframe to hold two, five gallon air tanks that fit under my bed on my bagged 99' S-10. Iv'e been fabricating since my freshman year of high school. So about 8 years now.

Got my EZ 3D today. Great software and great service! Thanks Chris!

(of course, I am gonna have to come work for you when I get fired for designing all my parts at work instead of doing whatever it is I am supposed to be doing)

Keep up the excellent work!!! Can't wait to get home and start bending up some of my new designs...

Scott

Scott,

Make sure you go to Apeendix A in the manual before bending any tube. And thank you for the order.

Chris,

I did the calibration per the instructions. I got 6.99 as my calibrated CLR for a 5.5 die. This sound normal, or does it sound like I screwed something up?

Thanks,
Scott

It sounds a little high. If the material you are using has a lot of spring back it maybe correct. I would go with it and try a simple test part.

I bought the bend tech ez 3d, had it about a week and haven't started making anything yet. I'm in the process of shipping my stuff overseas and I will let you know how it works out for me. I plan to start off with a bumper and some sliders.

EZ and EZ 3-D. Both great tools. Takes ALL the guesswork out of bending. This has built many bumpers, cages, handrails, carts, etc. A must have for anyone who has a bender!

Joe,
Thanks for signing the sign in page. All SE orders are going to the post office today. I have enough systems leaving I had to get a dock time for drop off with the post master.

I hope you like the new SE
