BT-Dragon is a full CNC system for tube plasma cutting, marking the bend locations, rotations and label the bend angles right on the tube as well as marking fit-up alignments for weldments. It works with either Bend-Tech assembly models or STEP files, automatically programs the parts and sends them to the machine. The BT-Dragon includes an operators control box (with stand) which includes starts and pause buttons, e-stop, speed control and led lights representing the machines current actions.

I am working on the design of a 4th proto-type concept and I believe it will be our final proto-type ready to go into production the first of September with machine systems shipping late October. We will be taking purchase orders in August. There are going to be 2 different size machines. Both machines are a double rail system with easy tube side loading.

BT-Dragon M144-1
-- 12' travel with unlimited tube length capacities using the pass through chuck and our reposition alignment technology.
-- Uses a Hypertherm Mechanized Plasma torch (not included in the system)
-- Turret style tool changer for the torch, marker, engraver and alignment laser. The Turret style tool changer is fully motorized and CNC controlled allowing the different tools to be aligned down the tube with no distance between them, hence, eliminating any dead zones between the different tools. The tool changer also has Z axis control so it can be moved out of the way for material loading.
-- 2 1/2" pass through chuck. Also can hold up to 6" non-pass through diameter.
-- CNC controlled positioning Y-yoke to hold the material at the working head. The Y-yoke will move up or down according to the diameter of material keeping everything inline with the chuck. We are also going to be testing to see if we can move it out of the way when the chuck is close to the tool head to reduce the amount of waste at the chuck.
-- Uses the marking station or engraving station (or both) to part mark, mark the bend location, rotation and label the bend number and angle on the tube. Also uses this technology for any weldment alignment part marking. This information is automatically created right within Bend-Tech assembly design.
-- Has a spot laser for reposition the tube through the pass through chuck or if flipping the tube is desired. The system will place an X on the tube, go to an appropriate position to un-chuck the tube. A spot laser is CNC controlled and will automatically activate to realign the X on the tube with the spot laser. Re-chuck and push the Start button the operators control panel.
-- Has an Operators control panel w/stand so the operator can follow the machines activities (has several LED lights showing actions such as; travel, torch, mark, etch, reposition, flip, load, etc...) as well as has a Start and Pause buttons and controls for feed rates. And of course an E-stop button.

BT-Dragon H72-1
-- Same as the A144-1 except the following
-- 6' foot of travel but does have the pass through chuck and repositioning technology.
-- No etching, marking only
-- Uses the Hypertherm Mechanized torch or a hand torch. The hand torch is manually controlled, however, the Operators control panel provides when to pull the hand torch trigger.
-- The Y-yoke is manually adjusted.
-- The stations are in-line and are manually adjusted as to there height.
-- The STEP interface to import a STEP model that is cut and/or bent will be an add-on. It is included in the M144-1
-- We are on the fence if this machine will be table top or include a stand.

We were at the Kentucky Lucas Off-Road Expo last weekend and were showing a proto-type to the H72-1. Many, many people excited. Most, however, are wanting the M144-1.

Prices on the machines are up in the air. These are not kits and will not be priced like they are. We are finding this is a great solution for Offroad Shops and cage manufactures. This isn't just a CNC plasma cutting machine but a total solution from design to manufacturing. We will be servicing these machines like they are production machines. Customers will not be waiting around for weeks trying to figure out on their own any problems they may encounter. We are using MACH 4, but only as a way for the CNC control. BT-Dragon software controls the MACH 4 in the background and the operator has very little need if every any to interact with it. As I said earlier, select a STEP model from your SolidWorks or any other solid modeling software or a part from your Bend-Tech assembly and push 2 buttons and the machine lights up and is ready to load tube to start cutting and marking.

We are very excited to be offering this solution. We think this maybe our next grand slam. If you guys would like, I can keep you posted as we continue to get ready for production.

This is a silly statement! Of course we'd like updates! I can tell from the pic and description ill have to start selling spares and equipment to get one
