15 years and still having a blast

Bend-Tech is celebrating our 15th birthday in business. What a great 15 year run thus far. The company has grown every year and the future looks amazing. Its hard to believe its been this long already. I started this out with a 1 year severance package from a past employer and have grown to 20,000 customers and we are now 10 people strong.

I can't thank our customers enough. At least once a week a say out loud to one of the guys here; "we have the best customers". You guys have made our job easy and enjoyable. Sure we have an issue or two that we need to resolve our grow stronger from, but when everything is said and done our customers have been great to work with.

We are not complacent, actually just the opposite. I am more hungry than ever. The BT-Dragon has surpassed our wildest dreams as far as sales volume and success. I have guys working on a ton of different things that are really exciting. At the moment much of our efforts are on the new machine. We haven't forgot what got us here and have a few surprises over the next 12 to 15 months.

The guys are just about ready to release 3 major enhancements for BT-Dragon software; 1) Project nesting; this will allow a customer to make a nest of a project onto several stock sticks and have the machine run through them with no interaction to the computer. 2) Slot and Tab design in assembly. This is for guys who are designing in our assembly and want the parts to self jig. 3) New assembly designer for handrails. This designer is an easy to use 2D designer that works like lines on a shop floor to design a handrail systems. We are adding some 3D "affects" for wall returns and 3D joggles.

We are starting to outline the projects for release 8. release 8 is projected to come out summer of 2017. The things the guys are coming up with are amazing. Customers are going to be blown away with some of the new designers and functions that are going to be added.

Wow, enough said. What a run.

Here is to the next 15 years.

Cris.

One of the cool things was being able to help develop the Header Module. Not to many company's will go that far with customer input!

At least 15 more!
