Help With SM Images

Can someone explain to me how to import an image and then how to position it onto a sheetmetal part such as shown in this thread?

I think...
Something about a BMP file and setting it as a background image.

However, I would take that as quite likely being pure BS as SM and I do not play well together!
Even though I have SM I find it faster to generate the part in CAD or just build the part... I would create the geometry in CAD then export/import as a DXF, though the truth is once I had a DXF I would just export to plasma... like I said. . . Maybe someday SM and I will come to an understanding but for the moment it just sits unused.

You will need to import it as a dxf file. Use the "Geometric Library" under the "Tools" tab and save off the geometry. This will allow you to scale it and add it to parts in the future.

This wike page covers the concept. Uses it as a flange, but you will get the idea:

Thank you Chris

I mainly wasn't sure how to bring the image into BT. I'll give that a try when I get a chance.
