More twisted thoughts from the mind of me. So if I put a Chevy motor in my Jeep it's still a Jeep. Ok, same with Toyota or whatever. But if I put a Jeep body on my Toyota frame and running gear it's a????? When is the body not the vehicle? All Chevy stuff swapped in doesn't make it a Chevy? But you brag about how good your Jeep, Toyota or whatever is. So the body makes it the best wheeler? Someone told me on my current project I was selling out to Jeep, I said no, I want a V8 and the Jeep body was free. Yes too much alone time plays on the mind.
In the world of rare and expensive cars. Think Aston Martin and Maserati race cars.
The frame is the car. The engine is not the car, the body is not the car, The frame is the car. Of course, with a Unibody vehicle the body is the frame.
According to the local DMV the Frame carries the VIN that counts.
In the world I'll say it is the body, simply because unless you know what is under the skin you can only identify it by what you can see...
For example I am in day 5 of doing some repair work on my wife's Rocket.
Looking at it from the outside you can be excused for not seeing the piece of CRAP its engineering design group actually came up with
No Society can consume more than it produces.
I guess it boils down the comments of how awesome my *^+**^ is and it smokes the other brand. When the only thing original is the sheet metal. Rant off. I guess I just need to switch to buggy chassis with no brand name to deal with. Unless it's a Bomber chassis.........
