New guy from Florida.

Whats up guy's. I've been looking around for a few weeks now. I love it. Let me tell you a bit of back ground.

My dad got me a Lincoln weldpak 100 a few years back for x-mass. I practiced every day till I could run a bead. Then I read the habd book I aint done much fab work but I'm learning. I've made rack for my landscape trailer, welded some shop tables, tv stand for the man cave, and a good but of work on some mini buggies.

I'm now wanted to build a mini buggy for me and mod my current one for my son thats on the way. I have little money so my shop tools come as they can.

I will be getting every thing from drill presses to a mill at some point. I got a cheap pipe bender but it tends to kink. My first order of business is to get a cheap notcher, drill press, pipe bender, bandsaw, and a few things I cant think of. I would love a bigger welder but they cost alot for now.

OOP's sorry bro, to OFN, I do try to catch the newbies..

LOL. sometimes I wish I was a girl, but 'LadyDog' just didn't sit well...

'Buying tools', I only suggest 'not cheap' they don't last.. you can sometimes find good quality used tools at a bargain from shops going out, your local rag, pawn shops, internet, etc, etc. If you can't afford new quality tools, do as I do and wait. I make due with what I got till then .... Just my .02 worth...

Cheer'z Bro... good luck in your endevour.....

Well when I say cheap that means used. If it's crap it was free like my bender. Sorry if I came across as an ass. Now that I'm having a son I want that quality shop time with him. Give him a good start and less video games you know.

Thanks guy's

Welcome to the OFN

I buy the best quality tools that I can afford. If you buy good quality tools they will be something you can hand down to your son one day.
