I just recently moved to a new house that has a shop in the back. Before that I was doing all my welding in the front driveway.

I have a little Lincoln 180 that I like pretty well. Of course it doesn't compare to the millers we have at school, but it gets the job done. :) My tool supply is pretty limited, but I plan to build it up as I go along (just like everyone else). I would love to get a plasma cutter, tubing bender and a band saw. Right now I have a PC on loan from a friend and hopefully I'll get my hands on his tubing bender, too!

This fall I plan to take on my first fab projects: front and rear bumpers for my pick up. You can bet I will be on here a lot working the search feature to the bone! LOL

I will post up pictures as it comes together. I would love to get some feedback from the experienced welders on this site.

Again, thank you for the warm welcome. I have been having tons of fun searching through all of the threads here. :-)

Welcome aboard! As others have mentioned, this is a great site with a lot to offer in terms of learning.
I think you are better off than most of us in that instead of learning bad habits and trying to correct over time, you took classes that taught you correctly the FIRST time!

Good on ya! ;-)

Look forward to seeing you make some neat junk for the "toys".

Grant
