been awhile, latest project...

hey guys.... hope all are good.... thought I'd throw up a couple pics of my latest build..

not done yet, bunch of details left obviously.. but here is my 89 dually CC known as Mutt... been running it around since March to quite a bit of attention....

custom tubebed out back... set up for 70 gal fuel tank in the center, side slide-out drawers/toolboxes, rear winch, gooseneck plate on the frame, narrowed rear suspension, widened dually rims, yada..

about 7's of lift on 37" BF Baja's..

pre center doghouse... the taillights sequence.... and the tubegate is removable like a pickup tailgate...

future plans included a kennel in the back seat area with a slide out gangplank and 6BT/NV4500....

VERY NICE! Is the fuel tank for the truck or for transfer?

That kicks ass, the 6BT is going to take it over the top.

thanks....

the tank isn't actually built as this time, spring time.. that's what I call the "doghouse" (reminds me of oldschool van removable doghouses)...

it has fill setups on both sides...

and yes, it's for the rig itself.. once installed, I'll ditch the remaining saddletank on the pass side..

it has a removable top plate to access the fill hoses to the tank top, sender plate, etc... I'm building the tank to be dual fuel for the eventual dizzle swap..

here's a couple pics of the fills/doghouse....

the entire bed is built using welded in nuts for all the SS countersunk allen fasteners...

have at it young man!

I gotta say, I've built some pretty cool hotrods in the day, Cuda's, Challengers, Pro street Chevelles, etc.... none, have even come close to the attention this rig get's.. every single day, people ask me about it...

one day I had 4 random dudes waiting for me in the Shop Rite parking lot when I came out from shopping to talk to me about it.. thought I was gonna get mugged!

thanks.. it does ok now, but once I start towing/hauling more, the 8 mpg will have to go...

here's a pic of the side drawers and lower box... I still need to tack in some drawer dividers and get em set up with liners and such... the rig is being setup to be a service and hauling rig in the marine biz...

the matching lower box on the ps will be for a dual bat set up... ds is for floorjack, straps, chains, etc....

Angry Mallard Marine & Hauling

oh, the current project is building a matching front tube bumper with alum skidplate.... I'll post pics in a few weeks...
