Design help?

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a long time due to lack of time in my life, but now I am in need of help so hoping the experts can provide!

I need to create a round duct elbow. I can't seem to find a template or something similar to get me started. Can anyone help me with a layout? This will (hopefully) be the only one I ever have to build, and it is for my own use as I am installing a paint booth. The duct work is 39" diameter. What would be the standard center line radius? How many pieces to make the elbow? Can someone provide a drawing for the pieces?

Thanks in advance for the help!

90 degree? 45 degree? Do you want a sweep or a hard 90? I have an old sheetmetal layout book that might have the info on how to do the layout. Can you post a quick sketch of the plan view?

90 degree bend, as tight as is reasonable for air flow. I don't have firm plans yet, just trying to figure out how to accomplish it.

Would it work to make a 40" box, 39" holes in the two appropriate sides, 45 the corner for better flow?

It may be easier to transition to rectangular and do something like this:

I'm leaning pretty heavily towards adapting to square and doing as you guys are suggesting. MUCH easier to deal with!
