Hey guys, we have posted these in various projects here on OFN, and many of you have asked where to get them, who makes them, etc...
We make them!
You guys have seen round dimple dies, and you may have seen the oval and triangle ones from MB for ornamental work. Ours are aimed at heavy sheet for structural stuff (They go up to .125"). We offer them in singles and a full set of shaped ones.
Before you laugh at the star one, image how much traction you would have on a step surface with these dimpled "up". Now stop laughing, there is at least ONE useful purpose for it.
Made in the US out of heat treated 4130, easy to use with knockout driver or a press, or an ironworker. These FLARE ONLY. Cut with our DXF files on cnc (laser, plasma, flame) equipment or use the included plasma drag tip guide like a stencil to easily cut these shapes by hand one at a time.
We also had a request from a customer to make an affordable press brake that could make "tacos" (roll cage sheet metal corner gussets). We made a special tool that does single operation 180 degree bends in sheet metal with a backstop that has plates that change out to match plates cut for 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, and 110 degree gussets in a large size range. Up to .125 thick. Dies can be swapped out to allow 1.50, 1.625 (1 5/8), and 1.750 gussets.
drive it with your $125 20 ton press from Harbor Freight or use just the dies from this machine in your press brake!
