Thanks for posting.
How many cars race? How much time involved on race days ie; how many races and how long is each? What does it cost? How is the land acquired and paid for? Zoning?
The racing I do is $100.00 entry for two races on two separate days. They last about 2 to three minutes each. 100% of entry is paid back to the racers.

Race entries average 40 - 70 cars a meeting. We start with scrutineering & entry from 8.30 am, a familiarization runs from 9.30am in slow convoy, and racing runs from 10.00am until 3.30 - 4.30pm. We also do day/night dirt events that start at 2.00pm and finish around 10.00pm. Tracks cannot be longer than 2km and there are usually five tracks, run in both directions for 10 - 12 runs. Entry is A$40. A few clubs own their land, but most lease them cheaply or have a 99 year lease on mine subsidence land that can't be built on. I've tried to get our clubs to look at leasing powerline corridors with ready made dirt tracks under them - but no-one has been bothered to chaser that opportunity yet. All profits from events are used to maintain club grounds and buy earth moving equipment. Rallysprints join all the tracks together for circuits of 4 - 8km, with 3 runs in each direction & your best 2 times count. They are mostly day/nighters, and much faster, flowing track layouts. All entrants build their own cars and are on basic wages. We don't race for sheep stations mate!
