Miller welder Needs Love

Hi all,

My Miller Maxstar 300LX went into fault mode,

Help 1,
Manual says:
Help 1 Display
Indicates a malfunction in the primary power
circuit caused by an overcurrent condition
in the primary IGBT switching circuit.
Contact a Factory Authorized Service
Agent if this display is shown.

Miller in Australia want over $2500 to repair. Does anyone know what the IGBT / Caps are worth in the US? Seems a shape to throw the machine.

Thanks Justin

Exclamation

If that welder was built in Wisconsin things might match up

PM me the Serial number

If it was built out of the country who knows

If the IGBT`s shorted causing a cap inbalance when the cap or caps blew it most likely took out the control board .

I can see the $2500.00 If the parts are not obsolete .

Just a guess without seeing it time for a new one with a warranty

Red face

That is what happens when companies branch out into new product lines takes quite some time to work out all the bugs
