This is the current team ride - it would be nice if the ECU would stop being a little b*tch! :)

Dirt is for Racing, Asphalt is for getting there....

I done mostly drag racing in the past. Now my 9 yr old son is racing Go Karts on a 1/5 mile banked clay oval. My 5 yr old son wants to start next year...It has been fun working/building karts for them, but I might have to get one too...

I'm a road racer. I started a new job about 4 years ago with a brake parts manufacturer...and a couple of my coworkers raced in a circuit down in Mexico. I crewed for them a few times and I was hooked. VWs are big down there....the watercooled ones. So I bought a beater 86 GTI and slowly built it into the baddest thing I've ever sat in. I've started 5 races, but never finished one of them. 1 crash and 4 mechanical failures...2 of them driver induced. I developed the car into something that couldn't handle itself. It suspension worked better than any, and the motor was fast as dammit....for about 5 laps. I threw the towel in when I broke a valve at the last race weekend....500 feet into the first practice lap. I glanced in the mirror coming out of the first turn and saw the back of the car full of smoke. I thought FIRE, pulled off to the side, blew the belts and flew out of the car. Investigation back in the pits revealed a missing piston and hole in the chamber and cylinder wall. I cut it up when I got home and sold all the pieces. Now I'm building a 700HP+ SBC powered Datsun Z car. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment...I dunno. It should be fun though. Here's a link to series website...

I don't race anything, but compete in ju-jitsu competitions. However, my finace is starting her first season of dirt bike racing at the local track (well kinda local).
