Congrats!

Be sure to walk along with the inspector. I found a lot of stuff mine didn't and kept finding it after I bought the place. Hope escrow is painless. Better start packin'!

Thank you sir! I'm stoked. My friends always said they were going to hate having to help me move. Well that time has come, hehehe! Actually everyone is stoked for us. My bud said we will get'er done. My gargage with all my heavy steel welding tables and shear and welding tanks and crap is NOT going to be fun, but it is what it is. Beer & pizza moving party!!

Congratulations!

Easiest thing to do is get a BIG trailer and load as much as you can. Whenever you go to the new house, ALWAYS take something with you from the old place.

Way to go and make sure you don't drink too much beer BEFORE the move or the move may take a helluvalot longer than you EVER anticipated! ;-)

Wow! That was fast. Congrats dude. I remember i went back and forth for 3 months before i closed on my first home. I've never heard of someone looking for, making offer, and closing on a home as quick as you have. Good for you. Hell i was looking at houses out of town for over a year before i even found one suitable. I was just about to admit defeat and buy one in town when the house i live in now popped up.

Hope the move goes well and you get to really break it off inside of your landlord.

Later,
Clint

Thank you too! I know, it's crazy how this worked out. It is a turn key perfect house. I will give details later, but it's an awesome place. All fully remodeled. Still need to sign the official counter offer, but agreed to it in an e mail. To atleast have some kind of paper trail. There working on the contract now. Pics coming asap.

Congrats!

I'm glad to hear everything is working out for you. I have been following this thread...both the roll bender and slumlord drama...for a while. While home ownership brings with it a fair amount of responsibility, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think you will be much happier as an owner rather than a renter.

Congrats, That's great news

When it comes time to move is when you find out who your real friends are. Hopefully all yours are true friends. Moving is always a lot less of a PITA when you've got lots of help.

Pics of the house. I'm not going to even try to explain what direction the view was taken from. There will be quilt a few pics to download, will take a few posts. Here we go! The liberty in the driveway is the current owners Jeep. Nice Red brick walk way entrance into the house. We go into the front door and turn right into the dinning area, then left into the kitchen. You can see out the back door thru the kitchen aswell in the pic of the kitchen. Before you exit the back door is a the laundry room too. Kitchen has granite counter tops. Ohh, the inspection went really well. The house is in awesome shape. Some minor stuff but nothing I'm gonna squak at.

More parking round the back. Concrete the whole back yard and I could park two motor homes back there. Gonna get a dog at some point. The small brown shead at the back of the garage it a air compressor shead with 220 & 110 plugs in it and a tank drain setup and poor mans air drier with copper piping.

Some of the inside, not great pics but you can see it's clean and paint is all new. Rooms are a little small but our rental has no bigger so we are used to it, and with an extra room we will be just fine. Have room te expand atleast and it will be mine, no A hole to kick me out. We could expand where the patio cover in the yard is. Turn that into house or go up, but we will never need to.

A few tube roller pics with the ACME threaded shaft installed. Still need to drill & bore the 1.500 holes thru the two pressure roller saddle assembly plates and I need to drill & tap four holes in them to lock the shaft in place. Also need to mount the sliders for the saddle assembly. You can see them inbetween the saddle assembly and the 1" thick Aluminum plates. The is what will keep the assembly moving up & down smoothly. And the tollerance between the sliders and the main body plates will be about .003 max, so the pressure shaft won't deflect much at all if I'm using the outer rollers. The pressure shaft only moves like 3.5 inches vertically which is more then enough to roll what ever I need to.

No need to have the slots in the plate machined as high toward the top as mine is. I copied someone elses pattern. Had I known I would have machined them shorter. But no big deal of course. It works the same either way. I think I get more then enough difference between the rollers to roll as tight a radius as I will ever need to. I could machine the slots lower but don't think I will need to.

The saddle assy. and how it goes together. I'm using a non locking nut for ease of assembly and disassembly till it's complete and coated and being put together for the last time. I may radius the saddle side plates round on the ends. Or I will get new Delrin and leave them squared at the ends. More surface area to minimize side load on the shafts.
