First off... you know I don't pick things up quickly, so type slow, and clearly please

If I am reading this right, if one has PRO, or SE they could buy the ad on module, and then say build a cage out of tube, and design all the sheet metal parts/ brackets to the tube assembly?

Also will I be able to open and use current DXF file I have, or will they have to be drawn in sheet & plate?

I use several CAD programs, and some have trouble opening the same DXF from one to anther occasionally

Thanks

Cool, I am in for the pro upgrade. I hate relying on other people to help me design plate work. It's only been a few small projects but still.
If it's anything like BT pro, I can't wait.
Thanks Chris

Progress Continues

Looking at the flat (with bend allowances applied) and a thumbnail of the formed piece at the same time.

Hi Cris,
I'm interested in this function also. For example, if I design a rectangular plate, can I design a second plate to branch from the first plate at a designated angle, and have the software calculate the intersection? Sort of like plotting a new tube in BTP using the angle function to get the direction for the new tube.

Come on Chris give me a true release date and make it sooner than later.I've been playing with my TM cad for the last couple days.Pending the call I make to them on Mon. I find it kind of cheezy.Granted it does a lot of cool stuff as far as the lead ins and outs, nesting, and plaz specific options, the actual cad is not what I'd hoped. This is not a "Dis" setion on torchmate by no means but I think your stuff will be better suited for my app..They build a great poduct in my eyes and will be around a long time for further buisness. As will you with your software. The both of you have the terrific customer service that every company should shoot for.
Anyhow,yea.Hurry up.
