Scissor lift

Hey guys/gals, going to do a dump box on one of my trucks after I finish my wheeler I swear! Anyhow I've looked at scissor lifts and what I want to know if that is really the best way to package a hydraulic dump system? Seems to me a huge strain on the pivots from how they push on the top bars and not at the pivot with the ram oriented differently for a heavy load. Am I overthinking this? As I see a lot of dump trailers manufactured this way, just don't want to waste material if there is a better way. End goal is to have a trap door in the dump box to have rails for a 5th wheel connected to the frame as you should. The gears in my head are turning and thought maybe someone here may know. Thanks!
